3. Woolwich to Greenwich

page 63 The Garrison Town
Although the route remains the same, the perimeter fence mentioned in bullet points 3 and 4, has now been removed. On crossing Ha Ha Road, carry straight ahead on the beaten earth track, with a mound now on your left. Continue past a new temporary parking area on your left -as well as the old car park off to your right- and ahead on another beaten earth track to reach the  corner of the perimeter fence of the covered reservoir, at a junction of paths.
The route continues on the uphill path.

page 64 The Garrison Church of St.George, described in the text, is now being fitted with a permanent roof at its eastern end, above the altar and the St.George mosaic, by English Heritage.

The fenced football pitch mentioned in the second bullet point, has now been replaced with a new BMX track. The bullet point should now read:
  • Follow the path through a gate continue ahead across the grass to reach a tarmac path. Turn right along the path, passing the BMX track, to reach a gate at the far side emerging onto a road.
This has been updated in the 2013 reprint.

The riverside diversion that was in place here for some time has now been removed. There is, however, a lot more development planned for this stretch of the route and there is a strong chance of further diversions in the future.
